"Chitosan Nanosensor Detects Dangerous Substances" is a featured story on the cover of ISR's Spring 2007 newsletter about the biosensing research program at MSAl. Key researchers associated with the program include Associate Professor Reza Ghodssi (ECE/ISR) , Maryland NanoCenter Director and former ISR Director Gary Rubloff (MSE/ISR), Fischell Department of Bioengineering Chair William Bentley, and Greg Payne from the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute (UMBI). MSAL graduate students Nathan Siwak, Stefan Koev, Jonathan McGee and Xiao Zhu Fan, are helping to develop the nanoscale system on a chip. This project is supported by the LPS nano-bio program, National Science Foundation and R.W. Deutsch Foundation.
