Ashley Chapin presented an excellent informative talk on the gut-brain-axis at MAMNA

Ashley Chapin’s talk, “Hybrid Platform Development for In Situ Monitoring of the Gut-Brain-Axis,” was featured at the Mid-Atlantic Micro Nano Alliance (MAMNA) Symposium 2020. The talk was broadcast live to the public on Youtube.

In this seminar, Ashley discussed her recent work in developing a 3D-printed platform with integrated sensors for monitoring an in vitro model of the gut-brain-axis. Electrochemical sensors fabricated within the platform were characterized for their sensitivity to serotonin and physical cell coverage, providing a measure of gut cell behavior with superior access to cellular information than would be possible in vivo.
