Bruk Berhane is a McNair scholar (Summer 2001). The mission of the University of Maryland Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program is to increase the number of undergraduates enrolling in graduate school to pursue doctoral degrees. The program has been specifically designed to increase the participation of under-represented groups in graduate school.
