George Banis completes his Ph.D. in August 2019

George Banis completed his Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering in August 2019. His dissertation, titled, "Development of an Integrated Capsule System for Gastrointestinal-Targeted Biosensing," presents the development of a film-based capacitive sensing strategy and subsequent integration into a capsule-based microsystem that is designed to travel through the GI tract upon ingestion until it passes through the stomach to measure model analytes in duodenal secretions. He is currently a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia. (28 – Aug/2019)
