With her work on the gut-brain-axis, Ashley Chapin wins the University of Maryland Three-Minute Thesis Competition

Bioengineering student Ashley Chapin’s video, “Demystifying the Gut-Brain-Axis,” is one of seven winners for the campus-wide, international Three-Minute Thesis Competition (3MT) in 2020. Her work with the gut-brain-axis is aiming toward creating a platform to recreate the gut lining on-chip to measure serotonin release patterns. (22 – May/2020)
