Remembering Lynn Preston, Longtime friend and ERC architect from the ISR and UMD passes away

Lynn Preston, the retired leader of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Engineering Research Center (ERC) program, died on October 26, 2020. As one of the key architects of the NSF ERC program, Preston's visionary approach toward engineering research and education created opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration as well as team and research-oriented educaiton and mentoring. Preston's contribution to the ERC community has impacted the University of Maryland and the Institute for Systems Research (ISR) along with the greater scientific community. (23 - Nov/2020)
